Friends,

I've decided to switch over off of my "Monday only" operations in ProTrak and go, like the rest of you, to multi-day operaions.  Bob Butler and I chatted about this yesterday and I think I understand all that I have to do.

When I printed out all my OP session 3 paperwork on Sunday I saved a copy of my ProTrak folder BOTH before and after I ran the daily summary.  Yes, this is a duplicate of what ProTrak does for us.  So my inquiry, and one where possibly Bob and I may have difference, is should I make all the changes associated with multi-day operations in the ProTrak folder I saved before I ran the DS or put the changes in the ProTrak folder I saved after I ran the DS.  What is uncertain to me is if I use the folder I saved after I ran the DS will all my changes take affect in OP session 4 or not.  I do recall Jim M saying that sometimes it takes up to possibly 4 sessions before changes settle down and become the norm.

So I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have along this line.

thanks

Joe

Joe,

Since several items are locked from changes when an op-session is in progress I think you will need to change the post DS save.

As the change to non Monday only ops is made on the daily summary your next session will still be Monday but when you complete that session you will de-select the Monday only option and the following session will be Tuesday.

Running the file processor should get things initially arrange for the new situation but it may take a few sessions for the effects of your changes to settle throughout all your data.

Hope this helps,

John Valle

John,

Thanks for the reply.  I had forgotten that some areas of ProTrak are locked during an OP session.  I will use the file I saved after my session 3 printouts of last Sunday as I embark on my multi-day changes.

Joe
