To install the "Un-Limited" Update:

1. Get a blank "thumbdrive". Place the zip file on the thumbdrive. Unzip to the "root" (not in a folder) of the thumbdrive.
2. Find "Setup.exe" in the expanded files on the thumbdrive. Double-click "Setup.exe" (or Run Setup.exe in some other manner),
3. The installation program runs
4. At the 3rd or 4th prompt, where the installation asks for a folder, select the folder where ProTrak is already installed. Hopefully you are using "c:\protrak" as your ProTrak folder.
5. When installation completes, you will be asked if you want to "Register". Click "Yes"
6. ProTrak will start (as ProTrak will find that you have already registered).

Go to Help, About. Check the Build No. and Release Date to verify that the copy/install worked.

For all Updates

• Update file is only useful with ProTrak previously installed. Registration of ProTrak Update is handled by program.
• If you are updating from Build #130 or earlier then:
  • Once only, download the new Steam Locomotive file, and install it in your "ProTrak\Ind_RDC\Cat" folder over the existing "steamloc.cat" file. The format has changed. Data courtesy Max Robin, with thanks.
  • Once only, download a 'starter' Geared Steam Locomotive file, and install it in your "ProTrak\Ind_RDC\Cat" folder. Data courtesy Max Robin, with thanks.

If you prefer, you may purchase an Update CD with only the latest ProTrak Lifetime program on it. There are no other files on this CD, and the CD can not be used to install ProTrak. Price is $20.00.
