Jim,
Just checked the staging. Tracks vary in length for each staging area.
Bowling Green: 10 tracks 22' to 25'. There is an additional 12 tracks in Bowling Green not yet in service which are about the same length 22' to 25'.
Columbia: 10 tracks at 16' to 25' plus a second staging yard to be built with 8 tracks about the same length.
L&N staging at Guthrie is 2 tracks at 16'.
NC&StL staging at Franklin is 2 tracks at 17'.
If you need anything else, please let me know.
Best, Andy

Andy,
Thank you.
Been pondering (the need for) "staging capacity" vs. "mainline travel time". Probably not much of an issue with 200-ft long mainlines but when the mainline length gets to 1400-ft to 1600-ft (with two to four real-hour travel times) perhaps the need for staging capacity goes down?

Hi Jim,I agree to a point. I also think that it would have something to do with the fast clock. I've slowed the clock from 2 to 1 down to somewhere around 1.7 to 1 (Ron may remember exactly) and I'm seriously thinking of slowing it to 1.5 and possibly 1 to 1 depending on how everyone keeps up with the yard work and schedule.  It will also allow more trains on the railroad over the 24 hour period considering that passenger trains have yet to make their appearance!! Time will tell!! Best, Andy Hosting the 13th Annual ProTrak Weekend, April 28th to May 1st, 2016 From: ProTrak.org To: nashville_road@yahoo.com Sent: Monday, October 19, 2015 3:50 PM Subject: New Forum Post - ProTrak.org: [amount of north/south staging on The Nashville]
