In my ever increasing search for how to eliminate cars from my over crowded RVS-Yd I've recently noticed that I have a Shell Tank car with BOL #18 and SPOT, NEXT and DEST'N all equal to RVS-Yd.  BOL #18 is within that ProTrak managed BOL range. I just brought up the SHELL T car and cleared the BOL field in hopes that Yardmaster Route Cars would assign that car to my train down to the Storage Yard since as per my just prior posting the other day there is no BOL assigned and DEST'N is RVS-Yd where the T car presently resides.  Unfortunately Yardmaster Route cars put the T car on Train 46 down to Pittsburgh staging.  Does anybody know how to clear cars assigned with any of the ProTrak managed BOL-s?

thanks

Joe

Hi joe,

i think you have cleared the BOL by making it zero.  So your problem now is determining how your PT deals with empty cars.  It sounds like you have set it up so that empty “X” cars are sent to Pittsburgh staging.  Or that “T” cars are sent there.  Or some other self-inflicted instruction has sent it there.

Remember that BOL #1 - #19 or 20 are special BOL's

These are controlled by ProTrak

BOL #18 appears to be fuel for locomotives.
