Jim,
After many to many paper session which ran only on Mondays I am thinking about branching out to other days of the week. As I understand things we can run on either one day of a week, i.e every session is on a Monday, or all 7 days of the week. I'm developing a new delivery sequence for one of my customers which calls for delivery of soda pop to customer A today, soda pop to customer B tomorrow, and soda pop to customer C the 3-rd day. Then I'd like this 3 day sequence to repeat. Thus I can use Monday to Saturdays for these deliveries. What happens in ProTrak after a Saturday session when there are NO car orders for Sunday. Does ProTrak sense this and bypass Sunday and go directly to the car orders for Monday? I don't believe I can use the 1 session in 3 feature as that would essentially make the deliveries to all three customer on the same day, correct?
BTW - Last night (Monday) shortly after 7:00 pm I pronounced that all the operational track on my Susquehanna Valley Line RR was installed, wired, and working. The last segment of rail was street / girder rail and that stuff is a real pain to work with. I actually laid the last piece of girder rail Friday evening; but I had to cut in a frog, then wire the frog, and test the frog. I see ProTrak non-paper operating session starting for the first time in early 2017.

Congratulations!

You can run any combination of days, and in any order.
The idea was that you could have "full" or "heavy" days (lots of crew) and intermediate "light" days where you could catch up on work.

ProTrak uses the car-orders for the day you select.
If you select to run a Sunday, and there are no car-orders listed for Sunday, then ProTrak will use zero car-orders.

Joe,

You can continue to use the 1-in-3 day feature.
The "one in X day" feature is independent of the day-of-the-week. The "one in X day" feature relates to the session-number.

You might want to think about repeating the Monday car-order for the 1-3-day waybill for other days of the week. Or you could put one car-order for the waybill under the 8th-day-of-the-week "ALL".
OK?
