Hi everyone,
I can see where this concept would be very helpful in running passenger trains that did not vary their consist, commuter trains or locals and RDCs.
This concept interests me, as I would like to run at least one, and possibly more, of my thru freight trains (stgA/yard/stgB/yard/stgA) more than once a day . I had to delete one thru train because of lack of appropriate staging tracks at both ends, but I'm finding that my main yard is getting a little plugged up because of cars waiting there nearly 24 hours for pick-up. It's also a way to get more trains running on the layout without requiring more cars, locomotives and staging tracks.
So, a few questions:
1. Will the cars be emptied and re-loaded at each and every staging track if they have in-transit WBs? Is this also true for the empties filled in staging by overhead WBs associated with that staging track?
2. What about car orders that originate on that staging track for on-layout customers? Will it be filled each visit? If not filled in the first round as a result of the update, will it be filled on the second visit to the staging track if there is an appropriate empty?
3. Anything else?
No rush for an answer, I'm just interested in the concept.
thanks
John
