I was putting some stuff in my "trial"  RR and it occurred to me I would love to have a mentor that I could talk to whilst working my way through the protrak configuration. Someone maybe with similar issues and has overcome them.  (Fred maybe)  A one on one discussion.

I know I have this forum to ask questions but I was thinking how much it would be worth having someone who had been there done that and would be willing to have a copy of my RR on their computer and would be willing to talk about all sort of detail.   A protrak whisperer!

I figure that in my turn I could assist someone else when I can.

Mark,

Have you downloaded and read the ProTrak Basics Manual (i.e. The Manual)?  The author, Doug Seymour, walks the new ProTrak user thru all the basic steps in setting ProTrak in an incredible easy to read format.  There are a very large number of ProTrak screen shots in The Manual that are very helpful also.

Mark,

Good that you are working with the latest version of the PTBM.  The Ver. 1.2 updates for chapters 8 - 13 will be out soon.  Doug is presently working on them.  Be aware that the 1.2 version is based on ProTrak version 304, while the latest release of ProTrak is version 318, so a few  of the screen shots will/may be a little different

But we can now anoint you as a "PTBM Mentor". Marvelous , well done!!!  What your new mentor status kindly asks of you is to communicate with Doug IF something that you are reading as you set up your railroad doesn't make sense or is not perfectly clear to you as a new reader.  Doug relies on new readers like you to constantly improve his document for clarity, i.e. to mentor those readers who will come after you.
