Hi Jim,

I'm not sure if I brought this up at Baden, but I have CPR trains that originate in DET01, go to Toronto staging, then return to Det01 at the end of their run.

I used the assignment process in Transportation for my passenger trains, which normally originate/terminate in staging as they run from Chicago to New York and back.  This now seems to be working quite well (as I do not use WBs and mix the two processes).

However, the CPR trains that originate/terminate or turn in Detroit01 rather than staging are having problems.

1.  One case is CPR37/38, which is a day train that leaves Detroit in the morning, then returns late in the evening. and stays there overnight.  Most of the terminating cars have lost their assignment to the train, so they don't show up on the consist for the return trip the next day.

2. The same is true of CPR20/19, which leaves Detroit at 4 am, then returns at 10pm that night.  Some cars go on to Chicago on a NYC train (they have WBs), but the ones that stay in Detroit overnight have been assigned to the CPR train.  I'm having trouble getting both types back on the CPR train the next day

3.  Another case is CPR 21/22, which is a turn during the day in Detroit.  It arrives mid-morning, then is slated to leave again in the late afternoon.  Not all the cars come off the terminating train, they still show in my listing of the cars as being on the incoming train, so they don't show up on the outgoing train consist list.  ie, they are still on 21 and don't show up on 22 when it is time to leave.  The same is true of CPR 635/634.

Thanks

John

John,

>Most of the terminating cars have lost their assignment to the train...

Noted.   I will look into this.

Thanks for the heads-up,

John,

>Most of the terminating cars have lost their assignment to the train...

Fixed (here).   I ran 9/10 in my data may times and the cars stayed assigned.  Good to have that one "off the table".

I uploaded an Update at noon today.  Please run it and see if this works for you too.
