Occasionally the ProTrak Operator will be looking at a train, sitting in a yard, routed to staging wondering if the train should depart -now- . If we wait a bit, will more cars arrive to go out on that train? Or should that train leave now?
The recent Update adds a function for answering that question. From Yard Operations/Workorder a window opens listing all the trains leaving that yard. The 4th column now lists the possible number of cars outbound for each train going to staging. This function is looking all cars on the railroad, regardless of location.
If the number of possible cars is "small", the location of a car is also shown. For example you might see " 1 - BARSJ " meaning there is only one car enroute and it is in a train on the far side of the railroad; that car will not get here today so send out HWCR to staging.
If the listing shows "118" then perhaps we should delay the target train.
