When a new version of Protrak is uploaded to the update section is there an easy way to identify which build number it is?

I have downloaded versions only to find I have that copy already on my machine.   Possibly the build number could be put in as part of the description.  That would certainly help me and I suspect others as well.

A build number would  help me as well.  I wonder if you could have recent builds available as well.  I didn't want to download the experimental #316 with multiple roads initially, but there wasn't any choice.  It was a special case since I had reloaded PT and was trying to upgrade to a recent build.

Howdy Mark,

The updates will be marked with the version number. Version 3.16 is the most current version.

Best regards, Mike C

The program version has been identified by the Build Number and the release date.  Both are shown on the Help/About page in ProTrak.

e.g.  The latest Build is: 317, released: "July 22nd, 2015".

~~~
In the past I have incremented the Build Number only if there is a change in how cars are routed or for a significant additional function.  Most builds go through several release dates, sometimes for three to four months.
I had no idea what we will do when we reach Build 999, so I have been stingy about incrementing the build.
But if you-all want me to increment the Build with every release, I happy to do that.
Man from the land of snow calling.  You cracked me up buddy!
Jim  I am not refering to what you provided to identify version at all.   IE in the help/ about page. That is all fine with me.   Rather I am talking about what one sees on the "update Protrak web page"  This is where we are to download the new version.  At that stage we can't read help/about until we download it.  (maybe for the second/third time)
Quote
"ProTrak Update - Non-compressed for XP, Vista, Win7 and Win8"   Then we click on the buy now button.
Could read
"ProTrak Update Build 317 released: July 22nd, 2015 - Non-compressed for XP, Vista, Win7 and Win8"
I figure that if you want to save build numbers then release dates can fill in the "minor" releases.   that would string out your build numbers for quite q while.
Mister warm man in the tropics (for now)
