Please thank Mike Corley for making this happen!

We can now deliver the "electronic" installation package through the website for existing users.  (You no longer have to drive to Baden to pick it up.  )    Your CD is just fine, but sometimes they get lost.

The process is that a) I put together a zip-file package customized for you, and b) post it on the website.   c) I send you an email giving you a link to your package.   d) You then download the zip file.

Just as a heads-up, you need a thumbdrive.

Jim,

Is this new method of delivering  e-installation packages for a ProTrak updates for all new versions of ProTrak or only for Ver  335 - multiple computers.  The reason I ask is that in the  "Store" only the update 335 has the instructions to use a thumb drive etc.  The 340 update seems like we do what we have always done in past years.

thanks

Joe

Joe,

Just saw your question.

There is a difference between "Installation package" and "Update".   This notification relates to "Installation".   "Installation" is for doing a new install.

~~~
I have been having problems with delivering a zip file via email to "gmail" users.  "gmail" seems to prohibit all zip file regardless of how those zip-files are disguised.   Now, that does not matter.
And....
The Update comes in two flavors:   a) with updated system files (OCX and DLL), and b) as usual with just the executable file 'protrak.exe".
A user only needs to download the version with the updated system files once, and only (mostly) if you are using "multiple computers".   Because no one has commented that they need "340 with system files" I have not (yet) updated that Update.   One of these days when I have nothing to do ...
