Cars assigned car-orders/waybills will, initially on assignment, have their NxtLoc as the second reporting point for that train - the first on exiting staging. On arriving at the first Yd, out of staging, the cars in a train were routed - the NxtLoc was updated - and the train was re-built at the first Yd yard. (That's what yards do.)
With the previous Update, "routing" while the train was still in staging was added. One reported the train at its first location (staging), and the car's Nxtloc (the Yd yard where it left the train) was assigned.
With this Update, the "reporting at initial staging" has been automated (under your control). On Operations start-up, if this is a new day (session), and you have trains leaving staging, you will get a question. The question appears (if it does) after you click the "Continue" button on the Operations start-up window (the blue window).
The question is: "Car NxtLoc: Initialize all trains at staging?" - "This will reset the NxtLoc for all cars in trains at staging". Answer "Yes" or "No".
- If you answer "No", you can still report the trains in staging manually.... one at a time, as needed.
- If you answer "Yes" a new window will appear, with a progress bar, and a datafield listing the train being "reported". The window closes automatically when the program is finished updating the cars' NxtLoc is your data.
~~~
Please note: This process simply updates the cars' NxtLoc.
This process does not re-block the train. Asking for a train-consist re-blocks the train. Printed or viewed on-screen.
OK?
I plan on running a couple of paper sessions tonight, Jim. Â Just looking at the staged train's Wheel Reports, they look good to me. Â Thanks again for all the great updates. Best, AndyÂ
